This is just a quick note to mark an important day. The first gathering of what became Spare Key took place at Gailey's Breakfast Cafe on Feb 18, 2012! It is wonderful to be still celebrating intentional community five years later.
Spare Key’s vision of what intentional community can look like in Springfield Missouri has guided us through changes and growth. Our common meals have grown more sustainable even as they have increased in size and frequency. We’re involved in our larger community, supporting each other, and sharing more than ever. (Cell phone, trash bill, internet. ...It’s easy when you’re next door.)
Five years later, Spare Key is still a neighborhood of adventurers committed to fostering practical expressions of spiritual, personal, and communal goals. We prioritize the act of sharing in hopes of leaving the world better than we found it.
