Award for Awesomeness

The Community Practice Award for Awesomeness is a traveling trophy that is periodically bestowed upon deserving community members by the award's previous recipient.

Individuals keep the award for a few weeks (or months, give or take). Then the previous recipient gives the award to a new member during the weekly meeting, telling everyone the reason the new recipient is receiving the award. It could be any reason, but it usually relates to something great the recipient did for the community or something great the recipient recently achieved.

History: The idea for this award came from Scott in Pittsburgh, PA. He created the Roberto Clemente award for Awesomeness in 2011 during the Formation House adventure. It was a traveling trophy in the form of a bronze bust of Clemente.

The glass plaque that Spare Key now uses originated the next year when Jay bought it at a trophy shop. The award was used by the community in Liberty, MO. The award then migrated with Jay and Amber to Springfield.
